2nd weekend of Syawal

Kak Tita and Adam came and visit us in the weekend. Glad that they did because we could celebrate Muz's birthday together as family. We got him an absolutely delicious chocolate cake from Maison Blanc. So on that Sunday morning, the song was sang, pictures were taken, cake was devoured and my dear sayang Muzzy turned 31. We had our own small yet intimate party for our beloved Muzzy. Happy birthday dear. Sorry no big do but hope you had a great one!

Raya is still on...! The faze of rendang pandang in the family has not dissipated even after daily dosages over the past one week. As predicted our rendang padang stock has finished (rapidly!), we decided to cook it again this weekend. This time we imported a lean mean shallots cutting machine. A French Chef who had a way with knife that totally blown our minds away. Dear friend Ras came as the beautiful Bawang Merah and straight without wasting anytime went into peeling the shallots skin away. When the power combined, these ultimate duo made the shallots peeling and slicing a breeze.

Ras continued to help out at dapur like an 'anak menantu' from heaven. Well, even with the extra help and after that practice during 1st Raya, the second attempt still took us quite sometime. We ended up eating lunch at 4pm. Again, we had fun cooking the rendang padang. My kitchen was very lively with banters and beautiful singing of 3 ladies... We made a great team my sis and I (plus Ras, of course!). Pak Ghazali and Mak Haminah must be proud of their daughters.

In the meantime, Noah is not feeling really well. Though still active, he was going around coughing and with a running nose which made him a tad bit cranky. He had a fever the night before so feeling a bit under the weather. We had to cancel going to a dear friend's daughter's birthday party and a friend's raya do in the evening, since we know that Noah would be cranky and feeling uncomfortable. Also, we feel responsible of not wanting to pass the germs to other kids. I am hoping that the germs were not passed to his Abang Iman and Kakak Rahil.

Other highlight during the weekend, I have found a nice dress that able to camouflage my extra kilos for an upcoming black tie dinner and Muz has found a tux that further enhanced his dashing look. He said that he feels , like a James Bond when donning the tux... (You are my Jebon, my love!!)

It was a great weekend and I am still up at 2pm updating this blog- which my bro in law has kindly spruced up the look. Thanks Adam!!

The weekend was not short of pictures. Here are a few which painted thousands of words.
